METHODS FOR INTERACTIVE LABELING OF TUBULAR STRUCTURES IN MEDICAL IMAGING

System and method for labeling a tubular structure. A tubular structure is first displayed on a display screen. A representation of the tubular structure can be obtained. A user draws a curve on the display screen using an electronic pen. Based on the user drawn curve, one or more segments of the tubular structure that corresponds to the drawn curve are identified based on the representation of the segmented tubular structure. A label is then selected by the user to assign the selected label to such identified one or more segments of the tubular structure.
