<p>A quantization error average value (Diff_Ave) of I, P, and B pictures is calculated as an actual measurement value with large variations with respect to an encoded processing unit. The quantization error average value (Diff_Ave) of the I, P, and B pictures is calculated as a target value with small variations with respect to an un-encoded processing unit. The processing result of the encoding processing of the encoded processing unit is referenced in the encoding processing of the un-encoded processing unit and fed back thereto. The image quality of the entire stream can be subjectively improved by equally setting a quantization error of each image and further equally setting image quality of each image. Real time processing can be executed with no increase in circuit size by eliminating the need for the look-ahead processing of the un-encoded processing unit.</p> |
