A communication method, apparatus and system for a relay station are provided. The method comprises: obtaining a relay ID of the relay station (101); performing communicate with the relay ID (102). The relay station obtains the relay ID assigned by the system for it, then the relay station can communicate with other device in the system according to the obtained relay ID. A base station can make an efficient management to the new added relay station in the system according to the relay ID, thereby the efficiency of the system can be improved.
