PURPOSE: A radio frequency identification system using differential binary phase shift keying and a method thereof are provided to differentially convert a signal pattern every bit and transmit a signal to a reader using a simple on/off switch circuit. CONSTITUTION: A demodulator(124) demodulates a reader instruction. A differential encoder(304) differentially converts the tag information. A multiplier multiplies the tag information with a sub carrier(306) to generate a switch control signal. According to the switch control signal, a switch controller(310) controls the switch.
