Disclosed is a negative electrode mixture for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary batteries, which exhibits excellent separation strength between a mixture layer and a collector when a negative electrode of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is produced using the same.  The negative electrode mixture for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary batteries is characterized by containing at least one kind of inorganic material selected from the group consisting of hydrogen chloride, hydrogen bromide, sulfuric acid and inorganic salts represented by general formula (A), an electrode active material, a polar group-containing vinylidene fluoride polymer and an organic solvent.  The negative electrode mixture is also characterized in that the inorganic material is contained in an amount of 10-500 ppm per 100% by weight of the electrode active material.       MX            (A) (In general formula (A), M represents an alkali metal, and X represents Cl or Br.)
