<p>PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for managing a call session under an IP based network are provided to save network resource of IMS network by finishing a call session between a terminal and the IMS network. CONSTITUTION: A terminal(100) comprises a communication unit(110), a state check unit(120), a state management unit(130), and a controller(140). The communications unit receives a state notification message from an IP based network. If the state notification message is received, the status check unit checks a call session state between the terminal and the IP-based network. The state management unit varies the call session state of the terminal based on the call session state.</p> |
