<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookmark processing system for easily extracting specific information from electronic data for processing. <P>SOLUTION: In a bookmark processing system 100, when contents entered in the predetermined page of a notebook 3 are significant, a user enters a check mark in a bookmark area by folding a portion of the page. A server 5 refers to a page coordinate table 504 based on the entry information, and specifies the page number of the page entered by the user. Furthermore, the server 5 refers to a bookmark coordinate table 506 based on the entry information to decide whether or not the check mark has been entered in the bookmark area corresponding to the page entered by the user.
