The meter has a housing of plastic which is suitable for containing foodstuffs or beverages. The housing has a lower part, an inlet port (13) and an outlet port (14) all formed integrally as one part. The housing also has an upper part which forms a fluid tight closure for the lower housing part. The meter housing has a sheet metal cladding (20). The walls of the housing which are supported by the sheet metal cladding (20) are thin walls. Flow control ribs may be formed on the inner side of the housing lower part. |
