An accelerometer (100) includes a pressure transducer (102); and a vibration-to-pressure converter (VPC) (104). The VPC (104) may include a housing (106) mechanically coupled to an object (24) to be measured, and a diaphragm (110) sealing the housing (106) to form a chamber (120), the chamber (120) being fluid (140) ly coupled to the pressure transducer (102). A power generator and motor (52) including the accelerometer (100) are also presented.
