PURPOSE: A tire tread rubber composition and a tire using the same are provide to improve traction performance, rolling resistance, and wear resistance at the same time. CONSTITUTION: A tire tread rubber composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a base rubber consisting of (i) 50~90 parts by weight of a solution polymerization styrene butadiene rubber which has 10~30 weight % styrene content, 50~80 weight % vinyl content, and Tg of -30~-50°C, and (ii) 10~50 parts by weight of high cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber; 40~90 parts by weight silica; 5~50 parts by weight carbon black; 3~10 parts by weight of 1,3-butydiene homopolymer with vinyl content of 70% or greater; and as a silica dispersant, 0.5~5 parts by weight of at least one coupling agent selected from the group consisting of dimethyl aminoethanol represented by (EtO)3-Si-CH2CH2CH2-S-CO(CH2)6CH3, hexamethyldisilazane represented by (CH3)3Si-HN-Si(CH3)3, bis-[3-triethoxysilylpropyl]tetrasulfane, bis-[3-ethoxysilylpropyl]disulfane, trimethoxysilylpropylmethacrylate, 3- thiocyanatopropyl-triethoxysilane and g-mercaptopropyl- trimethoxy silane.
