The timepiece has a case closed by a glass, and a movement placed in the case. Display units formed by hour and minute indication disks are driven by the movement and visible through the glass. The glass and the movement are placed to define a housing in which the display units are provided, where a tape made of flexible fabric or plastic is engaged in the housing. Driving units formed by gear-trains (25, 125) and rollers (20, 120) are connected to the tape and a crown of the case and generate translation movement of the tape in response to action on the crown.
