<p>A hinge mechanism allows for a door or window to swing open and shut within the surrounding frame, or tilt open/shut for ventilation. The hinge assembly has one part attached to the moving frame, linked by a pivot (1) to the fixed outer door or window frame. The main bearing pin (1) esp. has a Z-shaped base with a radial shoulder (9) which engages in a matching socket in the bush (24) above. The pin (1) base (7) further engages with a block (13) and socket (8) in the hinge body (5) below.</p> |
