The window (1) has a casement frame (3) with a glazing i.e. vacuum insulating glass (VIG) pane, having upper and lower side edge areas (9), where the side edge areas extend over the casement frame as a projection (11). A surrounding frame (2) has an area (12) attached to the projection, where the projection is provided with a core grid (29). The core grid is arranged in an edge area of the glazing and has reinforcement (30) i.e. metallic reinforcement e.g. steel reinforcement. The core grid has a holding part (31) for the reinforcement, where the holding part is connected to the projection.
