PURPOSE: A mobile terminal remote control method and a device using the same are provided to remotely control a mobile terminal through SMS(Short Message Service) or telephone call without distance restriction. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(120) stores macro data and remote control reception numbers. According to the macro data, a display unit(130) displays image data. If at least one key is inputted from a remote control function setting menu, a remote control function setting unit sets the macro data based on the inputted key and sets the remote control reception number by matching the setup macro data. If a call is received from the remote control reception number, a remote control function operation unit outputs the key input result of the macro data.
