The severe brake warning arrangement includes a brake pedal lever (4) to which a magnet (3) in the form of a plate, is slidably mounted, and a hermetic relay having contacts (K) that are slidable on a stationary part (6) of the car construction opposite. The contacts of the relay are in parallel to the contacts of a switch that control operation of the vehicle's turn indicator lamps. The turn indicator lamps are actuated when there is strong brake pressure on the brake pedal exceeding a target threshold that causes the magnet to actuate the relay.
