A bone cement mixing apparatus includes a bowl (16), an attachable/detachable lid (32), and a handle (28) extending from the bowl. The bowl incorporates a bone cement vapour removal system that allows the extraction of bone cement vapours or fumes even after the lid has been detached from the bowl. Such extraction of vapours may be continuous. The vapour removal system is coupled to a vacuum source (14). The handle is ergonomically shaped and incorporates vacuum tubing (30) that couples the bone cement vapour removal system of the bowl with the vacuum source. <IMAGE> |
