<p>The method involves winding a warp strip over a warp sheet into individual warp band sections on a warp drum, where the sheet is arranged on a warp carriage. The warp carriage is forwarded parallel to a warp drum axis. A control signal is produced by a measuring device (8) e.g. laser sensor, based on winding characteristics of the warp strip. The control signal is derived from an outer contour (9) of a warp strip winding (22.1) relative to a longitudinal axis of the warp drum axis, where the outer contour is determined by the measuring device. An independent claim is also included for a cone warping machine comprising a warp drum.</p> |
