PURPOSE: A document transmitting method, a document transmitting apparatus, and a document transmitting system are provided to enable a receiver to request an additional electronic transmission of a document to a sender which transmitted the document. CONSTITUTION: A storage(230) stores metadata required for managing a document. A communication unit(220) transmits the document and the meta data to a receiver, and implements polling the meta data which is edited to manage the document from the receiver. A controller(270) controls the communications unit to additionally transmit the document based on the edited metadata. A user of the receiver adds a destination and a transmission mode in the transmitted meta data. The transmitted meta data is edited.
