PURPOSE: A device for controlling the viscosity of ink is provided to evenly mix ink by directly mixing the ink with a solvent, and to prevent the device from being contacted with ink. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling the viscosity of ink comprises a housing, a shielding member, a valve unit, and an ink velocity converting unit. The housing has a solvent inflow space(S1), an ink mixing space(S2), and an ink discharge space(S3). A solvent inlet(64) is formed in the solvent inflow space. An ink inlet(72) is formed in the ink mixing space. The shielding member is installed between the solvent inflow space and the ink mixing space. The valve unit puts a solvent, which is in the solvent inflow space, in the ink mixing space. The ink velocity converting unit changes velocity of ink.
