PURPOSE: A routing area updating method and a mobile communication terminal thereof are provided to block a ping pong effect generated when an RAU is performed in the border of routing areas by a motion sensor, thereby selectively performing the RAU. CONSTITUTION: If the motion of a mobile telecommunication terminal is generated, a motion sensor(300) generates a motion detection signal. A counter(321) counts motion detection signal generating time. A storage unit(330) stores an RAT threshold which is a reference value for RAU(Routing Area Update) of the mobile communication terminal. A count value comparison unit(322) compares an RAU threshold saved in the storage unit with count value of the counter. An RAU execution determination unit(324) determines the RAU based on a comparison result. |
