PURPOSE: A variable capacity type rotary compressor is provided to prevent a deformation of spare parts during the manufacturing process to prevent a leaking of pressure from a compression room. CONSTITUTION: A variable capacity type rotary compressor comprises a casing forming an outer appearance, a cylinder(33) including a vein guide(45) and a vein slot(44) while forming a compression room, a vein, a flange unit, and a connection unit. The vein guide in caved in to the outer direction from the inner wall of the compression room. The vein slot is formed with a sealed chamber with a width bigger than the width of the vein guide from the outer end area of the vein guide. The vein divides the compression room while moving forward and backward along the vein slot. The flange unit seals an upper and a lower opening of the cylinder. The connection unit provides high pressure or low pressure to the sealed chamber.
