RUDDER TRUNK ASSEMBLY SEPARATED RUDDER CARRIER

摘要

PURPOSE: A rudder trunk assembly with a separate rudder carrier is provided to increase welding tolerance when welding a rudder trunk to a hull and thus enable efficient and accurate installation of a rudder carrier. CONSTITUTION: A rudder trunk assembly comprises a rudder trunk(4), a rudder carrier(5), and a neck bearing(6). The rudder trunk encloses a rudder stock(3) which transfers the torque of a steering gear(1) to a rudder blade(2). A box structure(8) having an internal space is installed on the upper side of the rudder trunk, in contact with a steering gear deck(7). The rudder carrier is installed separate from the rudder trunk on the upper side of the box structure.
