PURPOSE: A food waste processor and a control method thereof are provided to reduce work time and energy loss in an air flow process, to prevent the escape of foul odors while preventing air from moving against a flow current, and to drastically reduce power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A control method of a food waste processor includes the following steps: determining the current state of a suction flow path and an exhaust flow path(S110); measuring the quantity of the vapor at a room temperature by measuring temperature and humidity in a drying chamber(S114,S116); driving a heat transfer part and an exhaust valve circulation part(S118); determining whether the measured values satisfy the value of the change amount(S120); stopping the heat transfer part when the values satisfy the value of the change amount during a predetermined period(S150); stopping the exhaust valve circulation part(S170); and stopping the operation of the food waste processor(S180). |
