METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SYNCHRONIZING BROADCAST MESSAGE IN BROADBAND WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for synchronizing broadcast messages in a broadband wireless communication system and a device thereof are provided to synchronize broadcast messages, thereby minimizing the interference between broadcast messages in which beam forming is not applied and data messages in which the beam forming is applied. CONSTITUTION: A broadcast message period setup unit(406) sets transmission period of respective broadcast messages identically with neighbor base stations. A frame number synchronization unit(408) receives visual information from a GPS(Global Positioning System) to generate a frame number same as the neighbor base stations. A control unit(402) sets start frame number of respective broadcast messages identically with the neighbor base stations. When transmission delay is generated by coincidence of broadcast messages to one frame, the control unit maintains the period constantly.
