PURPOSE: An insert for a cutting tool is provided to extend the service life by forming various uneven surfaces according to cutting process and tool so as to enhance the engagement between the body and the cutting tip. CONSTITUTION: An insert for a cutting tool comprises a cutting tip(130) and a body(120). The cutting tip and the body have uneven first and second surfaces(131a,125a), respectively. The second surface is formed in a concave part(125) of the body and corresponds to the first surface so that the body is coupled with the cutting tip. The cutting tip includes a support member(131) and a superhard layer(132).
