COSMETIC COMPOSITION CONTAINING KEFIRAN FOR PROTECTING AND IMPROVING SKIN

PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing kefiran is provided to repair damaged skin barrier and cell regeneration, skin whitening, and anti-inflammation. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for skin whitening contains 0.01-10%(w/w) of kefiran which is obtained from Lactobacillus. The Lactobacillus is Lactobacillus kefranofacience. The kefiran is obtained by culturing Lactobacillus kefranofacience under the anaerobic condition and culturing again at pH 4.0-5.5 and 30°C for five days. The medium for culturing Lactobacillus contains 2% of tryptone, 1% yeast extract, 2% of meat extract, 0.2% of K2HPO4, 0.4% of triammonium citrate, 0.5% of sodium acetate, 0.1% of tween 80, 0.028% of MnSO4·5H2O, 0.058% of MgSO4·7H2O, 0.074% of CaCl2·2H2O, and 10% of lactose.
