FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pharmaceutical chemistry, and more specifically to methods of identifying resveratrol (3,5,4'-trihydroxystilbene) using chromatographic separation methods, particularly thin-layer chromatography, and can be used in determining content of resveratrol in pure form, as well as in objects of different origins. The method of identifying isomers of resveratrol (3,5,4'-trihydroxystilbene) using thin-layer chromatography involves preparation of samples by dissolving the analysed substance in alcohol. The samples are then deposited onto chromatrography plates and chromatography is carried out using an ascending method with subsequent drying of the plates in air. The mobile phase used is a system of solvents - chloroform and 96% ethanol in ratio of 7:1. Trans-resveratrol (3,5,4'-trihydroxystilbene) is detected using diazotised sulphanilic acid after spraying the plates with 1% alcoholic solution of sodium hydroxide. ^ EFFECT: design of a simple method of identifying trans- and cis-isomers of resveratrol using thin-layer chromatography taking into account its polarity, suitable for analysing resveratrol in objects of different origins. ^ 3 cl, 3 ex |
