摘要 FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: laser velocimetre includes a probe for immersing into a liquid, having an open area 70 for passing liquid through it. The probe includes an illumination system (81, 82) which guides a pair of light beams split by a gap, through the open area 70, and a system for gathering light scattered forward by particles in the liquid. The light gathering system has a common optical axis with the illumination system and has a focusing system 86 and a reflecting element in form of a concave mirror 88 with dull polishing 90. The probe is connected through a cable which joins optical fibres 100, 102 and 96, 98 to an electrooptic unit which provides light for the illumination system, obtaining light gathered by the gathering system, measurement of the time between fluctuations of the forward scattered light caused by particles passing through the pair of light beams, and calculation of the speed of the liquid based on the time and width of the gap. ^ EFFECT: possibility of measuring speed of liquid with different flow profile in pipes of different diametre, easy installation on large pipes. ^ 19 cl, 9 dwg
