PURPOSE: A source device and a method for setting audio output of the source device are provided to set audio output suitable for an audio support specification of a repeater device, thereby efficiently optimizing audio outputted through a speaker of a sync device and speakers connected to the repeater device. CONSTITUTION: A source device is connected to a repeater device through an HDMI(High Definition Multimedia Interface)(S10). The source device confirms an audio support specification of the repeater device(S15). The source device sets audio output into the repeater device according to the confirmed audio support specification(S17). |
