Flavivirus vaccines

Provided is a chimeric flavivirus comprising a mutation in an envelope protein amino acid corresponding to amino acid 202 of dengue-3 virus or amino acid 204 of dengue-I, 2, or 4 viruses, and one or more additional attenuating mutations. Further provided are corresponding vaccine compositions and use of the compositions in the manufacture of medicaments for the vaccines against flavivirus infections.
