THE MULTI-STAGE EXPLOSION TYPE PRETENSIONER OF THE SEAT-BELT

PURPOSE: A multi-stage explosion type pretensioner of a seat belt is provided to protect passengers from an impact due to strong initial winding force of the belt by gradually increasing the winding speed. CONSTITUTION: A multi-stage explosion type pretensioner of a seat belt comprises a rack(130) and a pinion(120). The rack is installed in a housing(140). The pinion is rotated by the movement of the rack to rewind a belt in a retractor through a clutch unit. MGGs(Micro Gas Generators)(m1,m2) are installed within the housing and move the rack by the successive explosion.
