PURPOSE: Weldable ultra-high strength steel with excellent low temperature toughness and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve shock resistance and yield strength of a metal while minimizing the amount of expensive alloy. CONSTITUTION: Weldable ultra-high strength steel with excellent low temperature toughness comprises C 0.05~0.1 weight%, Si 0.1~0.5 weight%, Mn 1.5~2.5 weight%, Ni 0.2~0.5 weight%, Cu 0.5~2.0 weight%, Cr 0.1~0.5 weight%, Mo 0.1~0.5 weight%, Nb 0.01~0.05 weight%, V 0.01~0.1 weight%, Ti 0.01~0.03 weight%, Al 0.05 weight%, B 0.0005~0.002 weight%, Fe and other inevitable impurities. The yield strength of the ultra-high strength steel is 1.1GPa or greater. |
