The device (1) has a height adjusting unit (14) integrated in a headrest for adjusting height of the headrest with respect to a backrest. An orientation adjusting unit (20) is located in the backrest. The orientation adjusting unit adjusts orientation of the headrest around a transversal axis (12) such that the transversal axis is found above the headrest. The backrest has an armature (4) covered by a lining. A sheath (5) receives a flat clip (6) of the backrest.
