TRANSGENIC PLANT BIOSYNTHESIZING ASTAXANTHIN

摘要

PURPOSE: A transgenic plant body performing biosynthesis of astaxanthin is provided to promote synthesis of beta carotene to astaxanthin by introducing CrtW gene. CONSTITUTION: A plant body enabling biosynthesis is obtained by transforming with a plant recombinant vector. The plant body contains beta carotene. The plant body is tomato. A method for biosynthesizing astaxanthin comprises: a step of introducing a plant recombinant vector containing CrtW gene to the plant body.
