A method of treating a raw substance using a treatment apparatus including a plurality of treatment units, a housing, a connection assembly, a partition system, that is movable between a primary configuration and a secondary configuration, including the steps of: (a) moving the partition system into the first configuration to define a first fluid flow arrangement, (b) directing the raw substance through the plurality of treatment units; (c) moving the partition system into the secondary configuration to define a second fluid flow arrangement and stop the raw substance moving through the plurality of treatment units; and (d) directing a cleaning substance through the plurality of treatment units. An apparatus for performing the method is also disclosed.
