A protective ear appliance 100, comprising two ear protectors 103, a band 101 for encircling a portion of a wearer's head, having a curved shape, with two ends, and an inner curved surface and an outer curved surface, slidable coupling means for slidably coupling each of the ear protectors 103 to the band 101 so that the ear protectors 103 can each slide independently with respect to the band 101 to adjust the distance between the two ear protectors 103 along the band 101 so that the ear protectors 103 can seat on the wearer's ears.
