<p>A throwing apparatus 1 comprising an elongated handle 2 and a cup 3 mounted on the handle 2 at or adjacent one end thereof, the cup 3 being shaped to receive a throwable, non spherical object 6 and to retain such object 6 until the handle 2 is swung whereupon the object 6 is released from the cup 3, and wherein the cup 3 has at least one inwardly curved part 14 positioned so that in use part of the object 6 extends outwardly through the inwardly curved part 14 prior to the object 6 being released from the cup 3 and so that as the handle 2 is being swung the or one inwardly curved part 14 becomes a trailing inwardly curved part 14 to impart spin to the object 6.</p> |
