PURPOSE: A shutter type socket with an electrical switch is provided to supply an additional data path or a switching function, thereby allowing and suppressing an additional path for useful data transmission. CONSTITUTION: A socket(10) comprises an output, a shutter(30), a spring(70) and electrical terminals. The outlet includes an opening into which a plug can be inserted. The shutter covers the opening. When a plug is inserted into the outlet, a shutter moves from a closed arrangement state to an opened arrangement state. A conductive spring makes the shutter to be in the closed arrangement state. The first and second electrical terminals are in associated with the spring. When the shutter is in the opened arrangement state, the spring forms an electric closed circuit among the electrical terminals.
