<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and light-weight imaging elemement that produces high-quality color images with labor saving in assembly step. <P>SOLUTION: One imaging sensor is divided into areas of at least three wavelength zones (RGB). At least three lenses corresponding to them are disposed. An optical system includes lenses, an IR cut filter, a color (RGB) filter, and a microlens. The lenses, the IR cut filter, the color (RGB) filter, the microlens, and the imaging sensor are functionally integrated.
