PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that it becomes difficult to make a proper decision because a conventional error diagnostic system individually handles each piece of error data as a different error.

SOLUTION: The cause of error can be diagnosed with high accuracy by including an error group history storage for storing sequentially error data transmitted by an image forming apparatus corresponding to an error occurrence, a grouping rule storage for accumulating grouping rules to specify the cause of an error causing error data to occur for every error data in advance, a code data storage for accumulating code data corresponding to the cause of the error, and an error group generating apparatus for generating an error group to which the code data corresponding to the cause of the error is assigned regarding the error data of the error group history storage by using the grouping rule in the grouping rule storage and the code data in the code data storage.
