<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which can reduce eddy current loss, which arises in a ring member for fixing a stator, and eddy current loss in a rotor, in a rotating electrical machine which is equipped with a toroidal coil. <P>SOLUTION: In the stator 1 for rotating electrical machines, stator winding 3 is wound toroidally on a core 2, and the core 2 includes a plurality of split cores 6 segmentalized in its circumferential direction, and each split core 6 has a circumferential part 8, which is provided as a region that has a winding part 7 for the stator winding 3; a hook part 9, which abuts on a ring member 4 for externally fixing the plurality of split cores 6 provided as regions extended outward from the circumferential part 8; and a tooth 10, which is provided at a region extended inward from the circumferential part 8.
