<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation control device for an elevator system capable of increasing efficiency in transportation of passengers 11 by shortening the time to be required to close doors in each floor of cars 3 of elevators 2a-2c in automatic operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An elevator hall of each floor is provided with a destination floor appointing device 10 for registering a landing call, a destination floor and the weight before a passenger gets on the elevator. The destination floor appointing device 10 calculates the total weight (a load) of the passengers, who are going to get on a car 3 in each floor, by using the registered landing call, the destination floor and the weight and stores the calculated total weight in a table 20. When a measurement value W, which is obtained by measuring the real weight of the car 3 by using a load meter 8 provided in the car 3, reaches a predetermined value Ws calculated based on the value stored in the table 20, doors are closed immediately.
