PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conjugate fiber composed of a polyolefin and a polylactic acid and having the polyolefin effective for reducing consumption of a fossil resource and suppressing increase of carbon dioxide gas on at least the fiber surface. SOLUTION: The conjugate fiber contains the polyolefin produced by using a biomass-derived component as a raw material, wherein the ratio of carbon derived from the biomass is 70% or more of total carbon constituting the polyolefin by a radioactive carbon (carbon 14) measurement, the polyolefin constitutes at least a part of the outer circumference of the cross-section of the fiber, and the remaining part is composed of the polylactic acid.
