<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which can prevent leakage leaked along the skin of a wearer without making space between the skin of the wearer and a sanitary napkin during use. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A sanitary napkin 1 is a vertically long absorbent article which includes a liquid-permeable surface sheet 2 on a skin abutment surface side, a liquid poorly-permeating back sheet 3 on a non-skin abutment surface side, and an absorber 4 arranged between both these sheets. The sanitary napkin 1 has a liquid flow prevention wall 6 which rises on the skin abutment surface side and extends to the width direction of the sanitary napkin 1 on the skin abutment surface of the surface sheet 2 and a pair of leak prevention grooves 7 which fixes the surface sheet 2 to the absorber 4 and extends along longitudinal both sides.
