PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label printer preventing a wrong expiration date from being printed due to a human error. SOLUTION: The label printer 1A reads encoded expiration date information D1 from an individual package label 200 put on each article 100 when an assortment 101 is made including individually packaged articles 100. The expiration date information D1 acquired from the same kind or different kinds of the plurality of packaged articles 100 is compared.
