PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wideband antenna capable of being made compact and widening a band in a simple configuration. SOLUTION: On the front surface side of a holding substrate 11, a rectangular radiation element 12 whose entire length La is about 0.35λa and height Lb is about 0.11λa is mounted. The radiation element 12 is provided with a roughly U-shaped slit 13 at one end part and a radiation part 14a is formed. The slit 13 is opened at the upper end positioned on the center side, and the radiation element 12 is provided with a power supply part 15 in the middle of the slit 13. For the power supply part 15, feeding terminals 15a and 15b are provided to both sides of the slit 13, power (+) is supplied to the feeding terminal 15a on the side of the radiation part 14a and power (-) is supplied to the other feeding terminal 15b. In the wideband antenna 10A having the configuration, when the power is supplied by the power supply part 15 provided in the middle of the slit 13, radiowaves are radiated.
