<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording tape cartridge improving dust-proof effect by suppressing dusts or the like from entering from between a slide shielding member and a sidewall having an opening formed thereon. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The recording tape cartridge 10 includes: a casing 12 that rotatably accommodates a single reel 20 on which recording tape T is wound; a shielding component 50 that slides substantially along a sidewall 12B of the casing 12 to open or block off an opening 18 that is formed in the sidewall 12B for pulling out a leader member 30 attached to the recording tape T; and a biasing projection 100 provided projecting out from the casing 12 and biasing the shielding component 50 toward the sidewall 12B side when the shielding component 50 has blocked off the opening 18.
