<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature sensor capable of accurately detecting temperature. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The temperature sensor 100 is attached to a pipe 91 separating cooling water 93 and the outside and measures the temperature of the cooling water 93. The temperature sensor 100 includes: a temperature-sensitive element section 50 whose output value varies according to the temperature; and a case body 20 including a measuring section 22 accommodating the temperature-sensitive element section 50 and placed in the cooling water 93, an attachment section 27 attached to the pipe 91, and a heat transfer resisting section 23 disposed between the measuring section 22 and the attachment section 27 and preventing heat transfer.
