A medication dispensing device comprises: a device body (1); a container (2) for containing blister packages (4), in which medications are individually packaged, in a superposed condition and mounted to the device body (1) such that the direction of superposition of the blister packages (4) is horizontal; a dispensing member (3) movably provided to the device body (1) and moves up to the container (2) to dispense a blister package (4) contained in the container; a gripping member (35) for gripping and conveying the blister package (4) dispensed by the dispensing member (3); and a cutting member (36) for cutting off a desired number of unit packages of the blister package (4) gripped and conveyed by the gripping member (35).  Depending on the position at which an opening/closing door (10) is open, dispensing of the entire blister package (4) and dispensing of the desired number of unit packages of the blister package (4) are both possible.
