<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing device strongly gripping even a long workpiece having an approximate rectangular cross section and a large sectional area, freely turning the gripped workpiece, reducing waste of a metallic material, and NC-processing a large metallic part. <P>SOLUTION: This processing device 1 is provided with turning devices 10a, 10b including ring-like gears 11a, 11b having through-holes 15a, 15b, in which a workpiece W is inserted, and provided with outer teeth on its periphery, a plurality of gears 17 meshed with the outer teeth, and a plurality of motors 18 rotating synchronously in the same direction and turning the ring-like gears via the gears; gripping devices 20a, 20b including workpiece supporting parts 21a, 21b having two supporting faces orthogonal to each other and a pressurizing body driving device 26 for forwarding the pressurizing body in a perpendicular direction on the two supporting faces, and turning integrally with the ring-like gears; an NC cutting device 40 for processing the workpiece gripped by the gripping device with a rotary tool 41 while a front end is projecting; and a workpiece feeding device 50 for pressing a rear end of the workpiece. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
